Every once in a while, a project comes along that shakes things up and reminds you why you fell in love with club music in the first place. That’s exactly what MOTEL PHANTASMA did to me. Their debut Claptrap EP on Razor-N-Tape feels raw, fearless, and totally alive, the kind of music that makes you want to lose track of time on the dancefloor. Talking to them about the ten tracks that shaped their sound was a trip: from Brazilian USB stick treasures and hypnotic riddims to bucket-list collabs they dream about. This is music with no filter, just instinct, sweat, and groove, and I’m excited to share it with you.
