South African duo Logo Alloy & Zam T bring spiritual depths to new EP for Vibe Me To The Moon. This duo hooked up back in 2021, and since then, they have been helping to shape the contemporary deep house underground in SA. Their mission to craft timeless sounds steeped in real emotion has taken them to labels like Harley & Muscle’s Soulstar Records and Little Angel, as well as the likes of Open Bar Music. The richness of their sound designs and always infectious grooves have seen them climb high in charts, and this latest EP on Nightsteppaz NYC label is another big step up.

Opener ‘Care For Me’ is a deep house gem built on a groove with a subtle skip and enveloped with warm, diffuse chords that call to mind greats of the genre like Terrence Parker and Louie Vega. Silky, soulful vocals glide up top with a sense of intimacy and vulnerability that blends dancefloor energy with tender melodic textures. The superb ‘Goin Nowhere’ cruises on low-slung drums and louche claps that lay the foundations of a dreamy late-night vibe. Starry-eyed chords shimmer through the mix, while jazzy keys add a playful charm to a velvet-wrapped soundscape that’s equal parts house and lounge.

Next up, the dubby ‘Let’s Go’ has more drive and percussive texture with some subtle cosmic FX. A spoken word vocal layers in further smoky depths to this late-night, chord-infused cruise to the stars. Last but not least, ‘Don’t Go Stay’ showcases Logo Alloy & Zam T’s melodic flair with a mix of soft, sugary chords and Roy Ayers-style keys that bring subtle celebration and life-affirming soul to another buttery smooth groove.

On the week of the release, we ask Zam T to talk us through the music that has brought him to this point today.

Inner City – Whatcha Gonna Do With My Lovin’ (David Morales & Frankie Knuckles Remix)

This is the first record I bought in my early days of listening to house music and at the time I had no knowledge of the great Frankie Knuckles.

St Etienne – Only Love Can Break Your Heart (Masters at Work Dub)

The bass had me shaking in my boots with this one, as I heard it for the first time when I sneaked out of my house to attend a disco and it had me hooked till today.

Presence -Better Day (Bookworm Dub Mix)

This was when I had my first radio in my room and could listen to radio and my own. This was played by the legendary DJ Fresh as it was part of his house flava compilation.

Tortured Soul– I Might Do Something Wrong

This was the first vocal soulful house song that mesmerised me and evoked the soulful feeling I have carried in me till today.

Lovetree Featuring Terrance Downs – Ananda Project.

This would be my first cellphone ringtone based on how musical the entry of the song was and the message in the song just reminded me of the love I have for my family and our family tree which birthed my existence.

Stacy Kidd, Dawn Tallman – Brenda (Main Mix)

This song always has me sharing a tear as it always reminds me of my mother who also played a similar role in my life. I always listen to it when days get tough.

Ralf GUM meets Earl W Green – Still I Rise (Ralf GUM Main Mix)

This is my go-to song for inspiration when life throws me a curve ball. It reminds me when the night is dark tomorrow the sun will rise again.

Do You Know (Beloved’s BPM After Dark Remix)

This song inspired the whole of our Love Odyssey EP, whenever I listen to the vocals and its representation it speaks to the ups and downs of relationships.

Logo Alloy & Zam T -Living In Harmony (Sebb Junior Remix)

This is one my greatest achievements in music, partnering with a pioneer in music such as Sebb Junior who remixed our song. This will forever be in my top 10 of all time projects.

Logo Alloy & Zam T- Don’t Go Stay

This is my hype and weekend weapon and the engineering work put into it really brought the song – as well as my speakers –  to life. It’s a real dance floor track.

Outro

Big thanks to Zam T for opening up his record bag and his heart. His stories remind us that deep house isn’t just about grooves,  it’s about family, memories, resilience, and connection. Make sure you check out the new EP with Logo Alloy on Vibe Me To The Moon. With tracks like Care For Me and Don’t Go Stay, it’s proof of how far this duo has come,  and just a taste of where they’re headed next. Stream it, support it, and let it move you.
