TLDR:

Paris house producer Victor Tomasi shares the key tracks that shaped his deep house journey. From Kerri Chandler classics to modern grooves by Chaos In The CBD and Fouk, these selections reveal the bass-driven club influences behind his sound and his new EP Deep Down Inside.

A track talk with Victor Tomasi.

House music has always evolved through influence, discovery and those unforgettable records that change how you hear the dancefloor.

For Paris-based producer Victor Tomasi, that journey started in 2018 when he began DJing and diving deeper into the world of house music. Since then, his sound has been shaped by the timeless grooves of Chicago and Detroit house, modern deep house innovators and producers who understand one essential truth of the genre: groove is everything.

With the release of his new EP Deep Down Inside, Tomasi returns with a joyful and groove-driven house sound built around hand-played basslines, classic house structures and club-ready energy. The project reflects his love for direct, physical dancefloor music rooted in house tradition.

For this Dirty Disco Track Talk, Victor Tomasi shares the records that helped shape his musical identity as a DJ and producer. These tracks represent lessons in groove, production and dancefloor storytelling that continue to influence his own music today.

Demuir – First look in San Diego

This track is a reference for me because of its structure and production quality. The more I play it in clubs, the more convinced I am. It’s one of those tracks that always works, and I think the bass groove is a huge part of why.

Kerri Chandler – Atmosphere

One of the first tracks I played regularly when I started DJing in 2018. Eight years later, I still play it, just like many other DJs. It’s a track that will forever remain a house classic.

Ralph Session – Had Enough (Instrumental Mix)

A huge inspiration for me. I love the repetitive side, this endless loop that evolves and intensifies. It’s a track that makes me think of the night, the club, and the sweat of the dancers.

Soichi Terada – Bamboo Fighter

Another classic that doesn’t shy away from a slightly kitsch aesthetic, but again it’s the bass that drives the locomotive. I recently rediscovered Soichi Terada’s work, and it’s been a huge reference for the EP I just released.

Cinthie – Together

An important track in my journey because it shows that a track’s intensity can also come from its harmonic content. This is the track that made me a big fan of Cinthie, who continues to make us dance in Paris and beyond.

Fouk – Neon Drift (Club Mix)

A recent release from the duo. I’m fascinated by the sound of their synths. I love how evolving all their synth sounds are, and the grooves always work.

Chaos In The CBD – Intimate Fantasy

Another track from Chaos In The CBD that I take as a production lesson in deep house. It’s very well produced, using classic codes while staying modern, it’s just very enjoyable to listen to.

Victor Tomasi and the Deep Down Inside EP

Victor Tomasi is part of a new generation of European house producers who combine classic house influences with modern production techniques.

Based in Paris, he began producing electronic music in 2018 and first released music as part of the duo Tomasi Brothers before launching his solo project in 2023. His music blends machines, instruments and live elements, often placing bass and percussion at the heart of the groove.

His new EP Deep Down Inside reflects this philosophy perfectly. Built around hand-played electric bass and simple but effective house structures, the project channels the spirit of Chicago and Detroit house while keeping a contemporary club energy.

The three tracks on the EP are designed for the dancefloor and live performance, reinforcing Tomasi’s vision of house music as something physical, communal and deeply groove-driven.

Conclusion

Every house producer has those defining records that shape their musical DNA. For Victor Tomasi, these tracks represent lessons in groove, structure and emotional connection with the dancefloor.

From the timeless influence of Kerri Chandler to the modern deep house craftsmanship of Chaos In The CBD and Fouk, these records helped shape the musical language that now defines Tomasi’s own productions.

With the release of Deep Down Inside, he brings those inspirations full circle, translating years of listening, DJing and club experiences into a fresh chapter of his evolving house sound.
