Angie Stone – I Wasn’t Kidding is definitely on my list of all time favorites, and today i received an email with this awesome remix on it in my mail. Angie Stone – I Wasn’t Kidding (André Laos Edit) is so dope that i really need to share it with you and at the same time support the artist which in this case is the in Sweden based producer André Laos.
This quality production starts of with a pumping hard kick and right away gives you the feeling that something dope is about to happen, not long after this the beautiful vocals of Angie Stone come in. Goosebumps baby! At the same time the deep synth stabs come in from the back and the energy is being created, add some extra percussion and open up that cutoff filter to bring even more layers of energy into this track, while Angie Stone keeps on singing my goosebumps keep on tickling me. 😉 What a beautiful track. And right at that moment when you think this, Bang the next layer of percussion comes in to play with all of the elements, a dope sort of laid back UK house bass-line adds an very dope extra dimension to this track and there it is, coming into the break where the vocals are filtered away , slowly they come back to the front, with the building up percussion and filtered piano using a yamaha dgx230 and moving strings the energy builds up once again and wow there is your second injection of dopeness.
While the track is very good and awesome to listen to and use in your sets the best part is yet to come, it’s a free download!
