If you are a lover of Disco, Nu Disco, New Disco or however you want to name it. Well if you are then probably you will like this very much. Icelandic producer B.G. Baarregaard has teamed up with The Whiskey Disco Label from France and released: B.G. Baarregaard – Disco Inn EP.
This whole new and surprising EP from B.G. Baaregaard is representing his disco side, the disco part in B.G. Baaregaard. And what a great job did he do on this E.P. at the moment i can’t name any other better E.P. Representing the Nu Disco / New Disco sound of today. Since a while Nu Disco has been around and from the very beginning it has been evolving very fast, so fast that Nu Disco, Deep House and House are very much connected to each other and bridges can easily being made between them.
B.G. Baarregaard – Disco Inn EP really stands out from a lot of the Nu Disco releases because it’s much more disco and only disco, definately how disco would sound if it was made today 😉
There are 3 tracks on the E.P. The first track is the EP Title Disco Inn, and is a laid-back disco groover, with a very strong disco beat, a very disco-ish bass-line, guitar and strong stabbing synths. With some vocals to spice the whole track up.
Undercover Lover is the second track on the Disco Inn EP and is a little bit more up-tempo then the first track, there is also a lot more of guitar sampling in it. The same goes out for the first track that it’s pure disco!
Kaffibarinn is the 3th track on the EP, again a disco stomping beat with some crazy disco guitar licks. This one has some acid kind of sounding elements and some more atmosphere.
