Who is Bomat and what is it he does? As a proud listener and reader of our music podcast and blog. You know that we love new music and at the same time love to spread the word about new music and producer talents. Today i want to introduce to you Bomat and his debut release ‘Classy Talk’ on the infamous NYC label, Nurvous Records.
Who is Bomat?
There’s a big chance you haven’t heard about this 29 year old house music producer from Berlin Bomat, who goes under the real name of Moritz Bommert. Recently Bomat released his debut release Classy Talk on the in New York based label Nervous Records and sub label ‘Nurvous Records’ Which have been one of the most iconic labels in House Music for the last two decades. With releases from House Legends such as Kerri Chandler, Frankie Knuckles, Louie Vega to just name a few names that are also featured in our House Classics mix here. Nervous had and still has a big influence in nowadays music scene.
Back to Bomat and his love for House music which he developed at the age of 19, when he moved to Berlin now a decade ago. With Berlin being (one of the) electronic music capitals in the world it’s not strange that Bomat got infected with love for the scene. From here his career and musical journey started working as a composer, DJ and producer all the way up to 2015, where he decided to take a small break away from the music and creativity.
In 2018 Bomat decided to return to the studio to find his own sound in music. And we are happy he did! The result a dope deep jazz house record on one of world’s finest House music labels.
Bomat – Classy Talk.
Where would Bomat be without his music, most probably not here on our website in this music feature blog. So let’s take a look and more importantly, a listen to his work. His debut release on Nurvous Records is called ‘Classy Talk’ and is a laidback jazzy piano driven deep house groover.
As the track starts with an percussion intro including the jazzy piano chords with a high cut filter on it, and in the background people talking FX. Not long after the 8 first bars the kick comes in together with a tight compressed closed hi-hat. A dope bassline, and the filtered jazzy piano chords open up.
At this moment you should already be dancing. Once the first breaks comes in, female vocals are slowly fading in and bringing in that extra layer of energy and emotions that give you the perfect feeling that this night is going to be alright.
Perfect for a wide range of DJ sets and parties.
Bomat – Classy Talk can easily be played in various types of DJ sets. Because of the laid back groove you can play it as a track earlier in your set to build up the energy levels. A sunset DJ set or boat party somewhere on Ibiza, Zrcé beach or for example the Defected festival in Tisno are places where this track will bring a lot of joy and pleasure this coming summer.
Because we know how much you love to listen to music, we not only added this music feature here on our blog including the Soundcloud player. But we will also feature it in the mix in our weekly electronic music podcast.
