Cor.ece is a new artist on the scene, and he’s making waves with his debut EP, Dance To Keep From Crying. The LA-based vocalist and songwriter has already collaborated with Honey Dijon on her Defected singles “Unleash” and “Work,” and now he’s delivering his own unique musical statement with this EP.
Leading the project is Possibly Impossible which we featured here a couple of week’s ago, with RNT’s JKriv on production and Dave Giles II on the mic. The A-side fuses airy and expansive vocal soundscapes with an infectious hook, and shows Cor.ece’s dynamism as a performer & songwriter.
On the B-side “Sky85.
On the B-side, Cor.ece contributes his own vocals to a new version of the song that’s more driving and electronic. Throughout the EP, Cor.ece’s lyrics explore themes of love, loss, and longing, while his buttery smooth vocal delivery keeps the listener hooked. Whether it’s the sensual R&B groove of “Nothing But Me” or the hauntingly emotive “Sky85,” Cor.ece showcases his versatility as an artist with this strong debut release.
Dance To Keep From Crying.
The title track Dance To Keep From Crying, produced by JKriv, elevates energy with crisp house kicks and a punchy analog-tinged bassline igniting the two-step, while closing duty comes with What’s The Word’s acidic synth-driven deviance featuring Danny Kane.
With interlude skits from Darrell J. Hunt sprinkled throughout the EP, Cor.ece brings it full circle on his first feature length project.
Whether you’re looking for new music to dance to or something to soothe your soul, Cor.ece’s debut EP has something for everyone. Check it out now and be sure to keep an eye out for more from this talented artist in the future.
