After presenting you 8 free downloads from Fresh Take Records last week, i’m back at you with just one free track this week. But do not worry as quantity goes down, quality goes up, and with that in mind i’m very enthusiastic to present you this new release coming from two Frenchmen Cosmonection & Madcat – Ibizenko.

Before we jump to the track and i tell you where to download it, let’s first take a look at who are behind the music. Both producers are very well respected and often played music creators here in the Dirty Disco music shows. Both Cosmonection and Madcat are coming from Paris and produce music that leans toward the Deep Disco and Deep House space.

If you do a search on Cosmonection on my website you will find that his music is played in many episodes in the last years. That’s not really a surprise as the Parisian producer and DJ creates music in the by me loved Deep House genre and often collaborates with other musicians we like to play too, like: KX9000, Tour-Maubourg and the here below mentioned Madcat, who ‘by the way’ are all French House Music producers.

Even though the creative mind travels the world to play at gigs you can mostly find him at gigs in the surroundings of France and at the Paris located venues like Wanderlust, Rex Club and Debonair.

While he likes to play for packed dance floor and make people dance with his soulful deep grooves he way more active as an producer releasing dope tracks and EP’s on labels such like: Pont Neuf Records, Beats Of No Nation and Delusions of Grandeur to just name a few.

Madcat featured on Dirty Disco

Madcat.

Next there is Guilhem Poincignon a.k.a Madcat as his stage / artist name. Also from the capital of France, Paris. And who is also a part of the Paris Groove collective together with Carlos & Berzingue. If we enter a similar search on Madcat here, you’ll see that many of my weekly podcasts feature his music.

Just like Cosmonection Madcat is also a common face behind the DJ decks in Rex Club and collaborates a lot with KX9000, Taos, Tour-Maubourg and Cosmonection. Recently the mentioned names worked together on the Baié De Room compilation series on Pont Neuf Records that i featured in these 3 episodes.

Madcat has been releasing music on great labels already his music on: Pont Neuf, Novaj, Virage Records and For Heaven Use Only witness his remarkable skills in making dope deep disco music.

Now that you know a bit more about the creators of this tracks and there roundabouts let’s see what they are offering you with this free download of Cosmonection & Madcat – Ibizenko.

The current Covid-19 situation is slowly getting better in most places. While it’s a bad place for many it also delivers opportunities for others. Thinking positive has always been a key factor of success. And both producers took this opportunity to finish a track that they worked on (The Seashore Drive as working title) and left on the shelf for a few years. They finally finished it with great result and named it officially: Cosmonection & Madcat – Ibizenko.

Let’s listen to the track together.

Let me start with saying that this track is 7:20 minutes of pure listening pleasure and can easily be used in playlists for music lovers that love to create their own playlists to listen to. Or by DJ’s that love to play Deep House and record their sets for online broadcasting and or offerings through music platforms like Soundcloud and Mixcloud. The track is very accessible for many and comes with a high quality sound.

The overall vibe is a laidback deep house piece of work with a deep male vocal that makes the vibe melancholic and creates a lot of atmosphere and energy. The vocal also does reminds me a lot of a track i did a remix on a couple of years ago, called Tentar (Seduce Her) which by the way is also a free download and listed here on our page with quality free music to download.

The rolling bass line in collaboration with the percussion elements and kickdrum take full responsibility for the available groove. While the pad, the slow configured kind of arpeggiator, and the synths stabs make the track complete and give you that laidback dreamy deep house feel.
