Dirty Channels return to Razor-N-Tape with Jungle Echoes EP, a warm and club-focused release that connects South African moods, Kwaito-inspired vocals, 80s electronic energy, African percussion, disco-house roots and classic Chicago house. The EP feels like a direct reflection of Simone and Leme’s long DJ journey: musical, rhythmic, deeply rooted and built for real dancefloors.
There are records that simply work in a DJ set, and then there are records that tell you something about the people behind them. Jungle Echoes EP by Dirty Channels sits firmly in that second category.
The Milan duo, made up of Simone and Leme, have always moved with a wide musical vocabulary. Their sound carries old-school house, afro-disco grooves, deep atmospheres and the kind of lived-in club knowledge that only comes from years of DJing, collecting records and reading dancefloors across different cities and scenes.
On Jungle Echoes EP, released through Razor-N-Tape, Dirty Channels bring those influences together in a way that feels focused without becoming predictable. Guilty brings sunny South African moods and European electronic warmth. The dub version pulls that same energy into a more stripped-back club space. Semliki adds African-inspired percussion and hypnotic synth movement. The title track closes with a deeper Chicago-house feeling, complete with 707 rhythms and piano-driven warmth.
What I personally like about this EP is that it does not feel like a collection of references thrown together for effect. You can hear the roots, but you can also hear the experience. This is music made by DJs who understand when a track needs lift, when it needs space and when it needs to stay locked into the groove.
That makes Jungle Echoes EP a strong fit for Dirty Disco: warm, rhythmic, soulful, club-ready and grounded in the history of house music without sounding nostalgic for the sake of it.

Jungle Echoes EP shows exactly why Dirty Channels remain such an interesting duo within the modern house and disco landscape. Their music is polished, but never too clean. It is rooted in tradition, but not trapped by it. Most importantly, it feels made for DJs and dancers rather than algorithms.
The EP moves through several shades of club culture: the sunny lift of Guilty, the more physical pressure of Guilty Dub, the African-inspired movement of Semliki and the Chicago-rooted depth of Jungle Echoes. Together, these tracks form a release that is easy to play, but also easy to return to as a listener.
For me, that is where the value of this EP really sits. It respects the foundations of house music while still feeling alive in the present moment. Dirty Channels are not just referencing their influences here. They are filtering them through years of experience, residencies, collaborations, festival moments and late-night records that clearly shaped their identity.
