There are moments in music where everything just clicks. Not because the BPM is perfect or the synth line is catchy, but because the tracks, the transitions, and the intention behind them open a space that feels both deeply personal and universally shared. Dirty Disco 607 is one of those moments.

This episode is more than just a weekly mix. It is a tribute, a celebration, and a living archive of what it means to stay rooted in the underground while continuously evolving. With nearly three hours of seamlessly blended music, Dirty Disco 607 moves through lush deep house textures, broken rhythms, jazz-tinged disco, Afro-electronic storytelling, and forward-thinking dance music that never forgets where it came from.

A Tribute to Lazy Days Recordings

This week, we turn our ears toward a label that has shaped the sonic identity of countless selectors: Lazy Days Recordings.

Founded in 2005 by Fred Everything, Lazy Days was born out of frustration and creative necessity. When no label wanted to sign a track Fred believed in, he launched his own imprint. That track, Friday, became LZD001 and went on to become a sleeper hit and the label’s best-selling record to date.

Two decades later:

  • Over 150 releases
  • More than 100 artists featured
  • Collaborations with Atjazz, Art of Tones, Shur-I-Kan, Crazy P, Prins Thomas, and Ian Pooley
  • Showcases at Fabric (London), Igloofest (Montreal), and more
  • Two JUNO Award nominations

Lazy Days has grown into a global community of deep house lovers and forward-thinking artists.

Highlights from the 20-Year Compilation

Dirty Disco 607 dives into the anniversary compilation with standout tracks by:

  • Fred Everything
  • Kruse & Nuernberg
  • Art of Tones
  • Beau Zwart
  • Milton Jackson
  • Roberto Rodriguez

These tracks provide the emotional core of the mix, bridging the timeless and the contemporary.

Expanding the Sound: Promos and Leftfield Grooves

Beyond the Lazy Days legacy, this episode features new energy and genre-defying artists.

Tryangle Man – House of Desired Funk

  • A self-described “peace-seeking Space Being”
  • Blends jazz, ambient, deep house, and improvisation
  • His latest release teases an upcoming concept album

Farhot – Kabul Fire Aesthetics

  • Includes collabs with Daniel Kimaz and Siriusmo
  • Cinematic, glitchy, deeply textured
  • A true example of genreless production

Jeff Johnson – The Window Speaks

  • Warm, analog, introspective
  • Feels like a nighttime drive through an unknown city

Karizma & Henrik Villard

  • Percussive, stripped-down, and physical
  • Built for movement, grounded in rhythm

Raz & Afla – A Cultural Remix Masterclass

One of the defining moments of this mix is:

We Taya (DMX Krew Remix)

  • Originally from the album Echoes of Resistance by Raz & Afla
  • Reimagined by DMX Krew into a sparkling Afro-disco hybrid
  • Features Rhodes solos, jazz-funk guitars, and vibrant groove
  • Balances cultural authenticity with club energy

Listen Deeper: Flow and Intention

What ties Dirty Disco 607 together is not just the music, but the movement between tracks. There are:

  • Waves of reflection
  • Moments of tension and release
  • A steady undercurrent of soul

This episode is curated not just to make you dance, but to help you reflect, recharge, and reconnect.
