Episode 614 of Dirty Disco is here, and it’s one for the books. This week we explore the full spectrum of the underground: deep house, nu disco, future soul and cosmic grooves, flowing from Berlin’s soulful Jazzanova remixes to the sun-soaked sounds of Brazil with Captain Planet, and from Amsterdam’s very own Kid Sublime to the London disco powerhouse that is The Disco Express.

With more than 30 tracks, this 2-hour mix is designed like a perfect night out: the tempo rises, dips, rebuilds and explodes again, keeping you locked in from start to finish. And for our members? The extended DJ-only version adds 5 exclusive bonus tracks you won’t hear anywhere else.

Highlights from Dirty Disco 614

Jazzanova Remixed: A New Day, A New Life

Berlin’s Jazzanova continues their remix campaign on Sonar Kollektiv, with Kid Fonque and Jacana People each delivering fresh perspectives on Another New Day. Eric Hilton (of Thievery Corporation) also reworks No Use, giving Clara Hill’s vocals a smoky, downtempo touch. It’s a reminder that Jazzanova’s catalogue remains timeless, and endlessly remixable.

MF Robots — Children Of The World

Jan Kincaid (ex-Brand New Heavies) and Dawn Joseph return with MF Robots on their own Good People Records. Their latest single Children Of The World is a euphoric, funk-fuelled anthem with a clear message: positivity and unity still matter. Expect tight grooves, big vocals, and an Afro-soul edge.

Captain Planet & Tony Allen — Global Grooves, Timeless Rhythms

One of the most powerful moments comes with Captain Planet’s collaboration with the late Tony Allen, Fela Kuti’s legendary drummer. Tony’s House on Bastard Jazz fuses Afrobeat percussion with modern house grooves, bridging continents and eras in a way few producers can.

Kid Sublime’s Paradigm Shift

Amsterdam’s Kid Sublime is on fire. His new album The Paradigm Shift on his own Natural Element label is more than a club record, it’s a spiritual journey shaped by broken beat, soulful house, and collaborations with vAn, Colonel Red and Han Litz. Tracks like The Awakening and Kingz show just how deep Kid’s artistry runs.

The Disco Express — London Energy

The London-based label The Disco Express dominates the middle part of the set, with releases from Monsieur Van Pratt, Disco Feelings, Generoco, and even house legend John Morales on remix duties. Their ethos is simple: disco for the dancefloor, served with style.

Flash Atkins All Stars — Sanza Mibale Ya Bo Pemi

Towards the end, we hit one of the most unique tracks in the set: Flash Atkins All Stars – Sanza Mibale Ya Bo Pemi. It’s a tribute to Afro disco, sung in Lingala by Felix Ngindu, with percussion, horns, and funk running through its veins. The Bosq remix flips it into a tropical funk party-starter that demands hands in the air.

The Flow of Episode 614

What makes Dirty Disco 614 stand out isn’t just the tracklist, it’s the way the set breathes. The tempo rises, dips, and rebuilds like a perfect night out. It’s not a straight sprint; it’s a wave. From soulful openings to peak-time disco bombs, and back to deep, introspective grooves, the journey mirrors the ups and downs of real club culture.

Extended Mix for Members

For those who want the full ride, the extended DJ-only mix on Mixcloud Select and Apple Podcasts features five extra tracks, no voiceovers, just pure uninterrupted grooves. It’s Dirty Disco at its most immersive.

Closing Thoughts

Dirty Disco 614 is more than just another episode, it’s a global snapshot of the underground. From Berlin’s remix culture to Amsterdam’s soulful heart, London’s disco scene, and Afro-disco tributes bridging continents, this mix proves once again that house and disco are living, evolving cultures.
