TL;DR (For lazy music lovers)

Dirty Disco 634 is my two-hour hosted deep house and disco house radio show where I guide you through carefully selected underground records from Lovebirds, Apparel Music artists like Bernardo Campos and Fabio Santanna, Third Attempt on Beatservice Records, Avelon, Tilman and more. This episode reflects a clear shift in house music in 2026: a return to musicality, groove discipline and long-form storytelling.

Why I Built Dirty Disco 634 the Way I Did

Every week when I build a new Dirty Disco episode, I make a conscious decision: am I going to follow what is trending, or am I going to follow what feels structurally right as a DJ?

Dirty Disco 634 is very much the second option.

This is not a playlist of random deep house tracks. It is a structured two-hour hosted radio show where I guide you through the music, explain why certain records matter, and build a journey that moves from warmth to groove to controlled club energy.

In 2026, when a lot of dance music discovery happens through short clips and fast scrolling, I believe long-form deep house sets still matter. They allow tension, release, texture changes and emotional pacing. They allow context. And context is something I take seriously.

Lovebirds and the Importance of Studio Craftsmanship

I open Dirty Disco 634 with Lovebirds for a reason.

The tracks from the “They Call Me” EP on Winding Road Records immediately set the tone for what this episode represents: polished deep house with real studio depth.

What I respect about Lovebirds is the craftsmanship. The drum programming is tight but not over-processed. The basslines are intentional. The arrangements are DJ-friendly but never lazy. When you listen to “Smooth & Fatfree” or “They Call Me,” you hear producers who understand groove architecture.

This is important in 2026 because we are seeing a split in house music:

  • One side is optimized for fast impact and short attention spans.
  • The other side is optimized for longevity and dancefloor functionality.

I position Dirty Disco firmly in that second category.

Opening with Lovebirds establishes musical credibility. It signals that this episode values warmth, structure and detail.

Apparel Music and the Return to Harmonic Depth

As the first hour progresses, I bring in Bernardo Campos, Fabio Santanna and Nu Azeite on Apparel Music.

Apparel Music has consistently released deep house that prioritizes harmony and arrangement over hype. Tracks like “Furta Cor” are not built around a single explosive drop. They are built around groove continuity and harmonic layering.

When I program these tracks into the mix, I am thinking about:

  • How the chord progression evolves over multiple phrases
  • How the bassline interacts with the kick without overpowering it
  • How the arrangement leaves space for transitions

This is the type of deep house that rewards patience. It also reflects a broader trend I see in 2026: producers reintroducing musical subtlety instead of stacking effects for instant reaction.

For me, this is where deep house regains its identity.

Third Attempt and the Disco House Resurgence

Around the middle of the episode, I highlight Third Attempt on Beatservice Records with “Hangin’ On” and “Good Vibrations.”

This is not accidental placement. This is the hinge moment of the set.

Disco-influenced house is clearly resurging across European clubs right now. You hear more:

  • Guitar accents
    n- Trumpet stabs
  • Warm pads
  • Synth basslines with swing

But the difference between revival and relevance lies in production weight.

Third Attempt manages to reference classic disco energy while keeping modern low-end punch. That is why these tracks sit perfectly in the 77-minute zone of the mix: uplifting, but still grounded.

As a hosted show, I use this moment to talk about what is happening in the scene. Because Dirty Disco is not just about playing records. It is about observing the direction of house music.

And right now, I genuinely believe we are in a phase where groove and musicality are regaining importance.

Avelon, Tilman and DJ-Functional Design

In the second hour, the structure tightens.

Avelon appears multiple times in Dirty Disco 634. That is intentional. When I repeat an artist within one episode, it is because I want to reinforce identity.

Avelon’s productions are clean, focused and transition-friendly. They are engineered with DJs in mind. The phrasing is predictable in the best possible way. That makes them powerful tools in a long-form set.

Tilman, who also appears multiple times, plays another role: groove stabilizer.

His tracks allow me to:

  • Reset rhythmic tension
  • Maintain forward movement
  • Prepare the mix for stronger energy lifts

This is something listeners feel even if they cannot describe it technically.

Long-form DJ storytelling is not about constant peaks. It is about tension management.

Why I Close with Heritage

Dirty Disco 634 closes with a Carl Cox remix of James Brown.

That is not random. That is a statement.

House music originates from soul, funk and disco. Ending with a reinterpretation of James Brown connects the roots of dance music to contemporary club culture.

As a DJ, I think about endings carefully.

The last 15 minutes of a set should not feel like an afterthought. They should feel like resolution.

In this episode, I wanted the closing stretch to feel grounded in history while still carrying energy.

What Dirty Disco Represents in 2026

Dirty Disco is my weekly deep house and disco house radio show. But more than that, it is my commitment to:

  • Long-form DJ mixing
  • Context-driven music presentation
  • Supporting labels that prioritize craft
  • Encouraging listeners to go deeper than algorithms

In a fast-moving digital landscape, I believe consistency and quality win long term.

If you listened all the way through Dirty Disco 634, you experienced a structured progression from warm deep house into tighter club energy and back into cultural roots.

That is not accidental.

That is intention.

And if you need a custom DJ mix, curated playlist or international booking, that is something I do professionally.
