Here is your weekly party starter and mood creator with a new episode. Even though i’m not feeling to well and i’m in a house full of sick people this week. I’m going to bring you a dope selection of new music in this episode of Dirty Disco Radio 252.

Yes that’s right. Even radio DJ’s / Pod-casters get sick sometimes. This week my whole house was sick. My son is clearly the illest of us all. He is having a double pneumonia and having a hard time. My daughter is also having a fever and today i also woke up feeling a bit weaker than normal 😉 Even though i already created and curated the tracks for this new episode so the show must go on! 😉

This week i’m bringing some real gems to the table. And i’m bringing you the subject of new music that not lasts very long. If i look at Dirty Disco. Every week i curate around 100 new tracks. From this selection i make a smaller selection and narrow it down what comes down to the actual mix. Sometimes this frustrates me since there is so much dope music that even i can’t play all the time. And i really whish that i could. With every week over hundreds of new releases music also dies very fast. Depending on the marketing strategy and budget of a label and how it get’s picked up by the public this is something that does not feel good.

Producers and labels really spend a lot of time and energy creating their music. And than when they release it. It only lasts a couple of weeks before people forget about these tracks. This should be different, but how? Even in the DDR platform where we try to create momentum for all those new tracks it hard. Every week in every single radio episode. There is 95 till 98 % new music. So even if i really want to play you all those dope tracks from last week again, or from last month. How could i accomplish this without not playing all the new music? Should we run a 24/7 radio show? 🙂
