In a world that seems to change faster with each day, there are a few things that remain constants. For example, Harry Potter will always be popular and Everything But The Girl will always make great music. The duo is back with a new single and accompanying album Fuse (April 21). The single Nothing Left To Lose has a nice dark dance beat complemented by Tracey Thorn’s distinctive sometimes soulful vocals. As if Everything But never left.

Twenty-four years ago, the world saw a lot of firsts; the beginning of a new year, two amazing Harry Potter books in print, and Pokémon on TV. In the same time frame however, Everything But The Girl is emerging with their last regular studio album; yet now they’re back for more with “Fuse,” released this April 21st. And it just wouldn’t be an EBGT track without that mesmerizing dark dance beat paired with Tracey Thorn’s unique soulful vocals. All we can say is: Never leave us again, Everything But The Girl!
Everything But The Girl, otherwise known as EBTG, is an English musical duo formed in 1982 by singer and songwriter Tracey Thorn and guitarist, keyboardist and producer Ben Watt. They are best known for their singles “Missing” (1995) and “Wrong” (1982), both of which were chart successes in Europe. It’s incredible how they were able to stay away from public view for so long, but now that they’re back, we can’t help but be delighted!
With the release of their single “Nothing Left To Lose,” Everything But The Girl shows us just why they deserve the title of music legends. This is an electrically charged song with a basic yet powerful beat, featuring Thorn’s soulful vocals. It’s a track that resonates with its raw energy and shows us just how timeless great music truly is.
Everything But The Girl has managed to stay relevant for decades, and now they’re back stronger than ever. With the release of their single “Nothing Left To Lose,” they prove they haven’t lost their knack for creating timeless music. We can only hope this album will be just as amazing as we expect it to be, and that the duo continues to make great music for many more years. So get ready, because Everything But The Girl is back!
