Get ready to groove to the beat because My Friend Dario‘s latest release, “Food For Woofers EP” is coming out on Hell Yeah Recordings on 21 april!! With a Balearic vibe that’s perfect for any dancefloor, this EP is just the first in a series. In this track talk, Dario takes us through each of the four tracks, including “Sambatismo,” which features the talents of two musicians on piano and trumpet, and “Nature in a Different Planet,” which was inspired by his set in the woods of the Etna volcano. “Easy Sunday” is a feel-good track that’s got me yearning for summer days spent dancing on the beach, while “Carmico” is the perfect track to set a moody atmosphere. As a music lover, this EP is truly a feast for my ears and I can’t wait to play it on repeat. So, turn up the volume and let’s dive in!

My Friend Dario - Food For Woofers Vol 1

The Overall Vibe Of The Ep.

Food For Woofers V.1 is the first in a series of EPs with a dancefloor attitude.

Sambatismo.

Sambatismo is a track inspired by Paul Murphy’s Jazz Room and Marc Woolford project, a track that I always play in my sets. I involved two musicians who play in the second part with Piano and Trumpet, you have the option to play it as an intro or as a track ending or to change direction.

Nature In A Different Planet.

I was inspired by my set in the woods of the Etna volcano for the Opera Festival. The sound of nature, the colors of the flora mixed with the bass and groove of the sound system.

Easy Sunday.

In the summer, one Sunday a month on a beach on the south coast of Sicily overlooking Africa, I played for about 6 hours. The sun and the people dancing at sunset inspired me to write Easy Sunday.

Carmico.

The darkest track of the EP. The electric guitar noise is the matrix of the track. I wanted to make a slow and hard cut.

My end conclusion.

In conclusion, “Food For Woofers EP” by My Friend Dario is a must-listen for anyone who loves good music. With its infectious beats and Balearic vibes, this EP is perfect for getting you in the mood for summer. Each track is a unique masterpiece that takes you on a journey through different soundscapes. I, for one, am already hooked on “Easy Sunday,” and I’m sure you will be too!
