In this blog-post right here we already told you who Fernando Montes is and shared his Andy track for free. We also stated there that he was going to give away his music from the last decade for free. So it’s my pleasure to review and feature another free track by Fernando Montes – Jupa.
The tracks that producer Fernando Montes from Spain, but living in London is giving away are so good they could easily be released on any major music label in this genre. Production wise, the technical elements as well as the arrangements are from high quality.
His track Jupa is a laidback rhythmic deep house groover full of dope percussions. The track is low on it’s tempo and sits around 116 beats per minute. Which makes it perfect to listen to as a music lover, but it’s also a track that can set a certain mood in any DJ set.
DJ’s that play deep house in an early time-frame of the line-up on a club event or festival can use this track to warm up the crowd. But this track can easily be used in the middle or towards the end of a primetime DJ set on a rooftop party or beach party. It just depends on other several factors that you should take into account as a DJ.
Right from the start the track starts with a lot of percussion perfectly layered on top of each other to create a dynamic slightly off-beat rhythm. Ad the female vocal to it and you have a solid base for a dope track.
As the track takes you into the groove slowly but steady other elements come into play. The bongo percussion arrangement gets extended with a bassline in the form of lowered toms. The rhythmic cowbell gives it all extra energy.
Soon closed hats and a deep simple but effective synth stab and another synth chord are added and the track is playing in it’s full potential.
