Defected Records is one of the most well-known and respected names in house music. They have a long history of releasing some of the genre’s biggest tracks, and they continue to do so today. This week, they are releasing a brand new track from Izzy Bizu and Ferreck Dawn called “Life.” This funky uptempo house track is sure to get your weekend started off right!

Izzy’s collaborations with Honne and Odesza.

At Dirty Disco, we mainly know her from her debut single White Tiger and collaboration with Honne on Someone That Loves You. However, if we take a global approach, Izzy Bizu is actually quite better known. The British artist with Ethiopian roots has worked with American producer duo ODESZA, British producer Blinkie, Portuguese Tom Enzy, and Irish Welshy.

After the release of her first international project, she can now add another name to her list. She and Dutch DJ / producer Freek Coppens, better known by his stage name Ferreck Dawn, released Life as a single on Defected Records. Who is Ferreck Dawn?

Freek Coppens, better known by his stage name Ferreck Dawn, is a Dutch DJ and producer. He is best known for his 2016 single “In Arms” with Robosonic. Ferreck Dawn has also released tracks on Spinnin’ Deep, Tchami’s Confession label, and Defected. His track with Izzy Bizu, “Life,” is out now on Defected Records.

What did we think of the track?

At Dirty Disco, we loved the track! It’s a funky uptempo house track that is perfect for getting your weekend started off right. The tune is pleasant and catchy, and Izzy Bizu’s vocals are lovely. We think this track is perfect to continue the summer party season.
