There aren’t very many artists who continually manage to make us wonder and wish for new music, but Fred again… succeeds in doing just that. The London-based producer consistently impresses us with songs that are often an intriguing combination of danceable and melancholy, a bit like being at the club when you’re actually not so sure whether you’re happy or sad. Fred again… lets go of that melancholy on his latest single “Jungle” on which he takes us to a sticky disco where there is no room for sadness!
At various festivals, Fred again.. has already given his fans previews of “Jungle,” which was received with positive feelings. Now that the whole song is out, we understand very well. “Jungle” is an incredibly tightly produced song from the Brit with lots of dance breaks that make it impossible to sit still! The beat of the song, which also samples Ellen Duhé’s “Immortal”, feels almost hypnotic. “Jungle” is the ideal song to sweat on this summer and to lose yourself in a hot club.
On August 19, Fred will be performing again… at a sold-out Lowlands.
Who is Fred again?
Fred again is a British singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer and remixer. Fred’s career began after he joined an a cappella group at Brian Eno’s studio in London; there, he managed to impress Eno with his skill in using Logic Pro, leading to Gibson gaining the revered musician as a mentor.
Fred Again is best known for his work in the house music genre, often described as “dirty disco.” 😉 His sound has been compared to that of Justice and Daft Punk. Fred Again has Remixes for some of the world’s biggest artists.
Fred’s range is as diverse and vast in its influence on the music industry, with artists like Swedish House Mafia to BTS. He has even worked alongside Stormzy! More on Fred again’s website.
