House Music Podcast | Dirty Disco 356 introduction.
After selecting many Disco House and Nu-Disco infused sounds for the last couple of recent music podcasts. I figured to select a bit more deeper House music sounds in this week’s essential selection and mix. Therefore it’s more of a House Music Podcast this time.
For this week’s House Music podcast Dirty Disco 356 installment i selected 25 new electronic music releases. 11 of the tracks in this podcast are available on vinyl (check the tracklist below) and 7 tracks are still music promo’s on the time of writing this blog and recording the podcast. Also included as usual the free weekly download and 2 extra free downloads mixed in the selection, coming from an free 7 tracker.
Highlighted House Music Reviews.
From the 25 new music releases that i selected in the essential mix i chose a few to highlight in this music blog. Even though i really like all tracks very much and would love to write music reviews about all of them. I only make a small highlighted random music selection to showcase and promote various tracks a bit more. To find all tracks in this House Music podcast you may refer to the included track listing at the bottom of this music blog page.
Tender Games – Unfold | Midnight Snacks.
Tender Games is a soulful singer songwriter from Berlin with German-Jamaican roots who likes to blend his soulful voice with electronic music. Next to singing he also loves producing Disco edits and working together with well established House music producers such as Marc Brauner, Marlon Hoffstadt who remix Tender Games originals to make them more dance floor ready.
The latest track from Tender Games – Unfold is a laidback emotional trip through the earlier years of electronic music. Laidback groovy Rhodes, a dope bassline and a traditional four to the floor kick together with the beautiful vocals by Tender Games makes this a perfect new track.
Tender Games – Unfold is released on the 15th of may on Midnight Snacks Records.
Last Nubian – Crying on Jet Skis | Moment Cinetique.
That free download was given away by the producer to promote this at that time forthcoming new EP ‘Crying on Jet Skis which is now released on Moment Cinetique. The EP includes 4 beautiful Deep Disco tracks including two remixes by Harry Wolfman on the main title track that has a deep jazzy dreamy disco vibe. And producer Carlo on I Left, who totally flipped the track inside out and made a real Disco dance floor banger off it.
Detroit Swindle Ft Jitwam – Coffee in the morning EP | Heist Recordings.
These guys keep surprising me with their quality productions and every time getting better collaborations. It’s a real pleasure to be on their promo release list as they never disappoint me with their music. Next to that i can also say proudly that they are from The Netherlands and come from the very same hometown of Amsterdam.
Their latest collaboration is quite something and following up on another very dope release ‘The Life Behind Things‘ which i featured here. For their new EP ‘Coffee in the morning’ the Detroit Swindle duo teamed up with Brooklyn based and having roots in India singer, songwriter and musician Jitwam. They call this (and i can only agree) Disco-Funk on steroids with 4 tracks on the EP, two originals, a dub mix and they tied Norwegian Disco producer Prins Thomas for an awesome extended remix on the EP.
This one will come out on 8-6-20 on their very own Heist Recordings.
Home Deliveries Free V.A. Album | Fresh Take Records.
If you tuned into last weeks online electronic music show and listened carefully. You were able to download 6 quality tracks for free. You still are by the way, just click on the link (it will open a new window) and grab those 6 freebies.
I included two tracks in the mix selection. Philco – Uhh Huhh which is a perfect dance crowd Disco teaser that not only packs the floor but keeps people dancing. Next and right after in the mix, i played Nyreau – How Your Body Feels. Which brings an extra layer of House Music vibes to the party.
Paris All Stars Vol 1 V.A. EP | House Puff Records
House Puff Records is a French House Music label run by DJ Steaw. The latest release on the imprint is their first of a series called ‘Paris All Stars Vol 1. The various artists EP includes 4 tracks which are real Deep House music bombs to please the dancing crowd with.
For this essential selection in House Music Podcast 356 i chose 3 out of 4 tracks from the EP, even though i liked them all very much creating the essential mix selection every week is also a journey which got lead by the music played. I featured: Beat Rivière – Nous Gatines, DJ Steaw – It’s Party Time and Julenn – Marabout. Have fun listening and let me know which one you like the best?
Free download of the week | Etur Usheo on Beyond Paella | theBasement Discos.
Previously i decided to play and feature our free download of the week in the music podcasts. I did this for a while but then noticed that sometimes the free track from that week does not fit the overall mix selection. So i decided that if this happens i will not include it in the mix to maintain the harmonies, but just list it here in the corresponding music blog.
Next to that the free download of this week is an extension of the free downloads in last week’s music show and has all to do with the interview i did with Spain, in Valencia based House Music label theBasement Discos here.
This week’s free download comes from German producer Etur Usheo – Perfect Love and is taken from the Beyond Paella V.A. Album on the Spanish label. Next giving away the free download i also did a full music album review. So have fun reading the interview, the music review and grabbing all the free downloads you can find in those two blogs. If you think you’ve got them all let me know how much free downloads you found.
House Music Podcast Track listing.
The last part in my weekly corresponding music blog that belongs to the prior recorded House Music Podcast is the track listing. The tracklist here below is in my opinion more than just a tool to help you find a track you like. I think all DJ’s always should include tracklists of their sets. Just to let the artists know their music got played, but also to show your appreciation and to promote the music.
Behind every track is always so much more than just the artist who created the music. There are involved labels, publishers that push the music. The artwork and the designers, people who handle social media posts (depending on the label and artists size) And the list can continue.
Also there is always so much to tell about every music release, so since a while i decided to also include whether a release is on vinyl or not, as they are always available as digital formats and most of the times on all music streaming services but not always as a 12”. But if they do you can find it out on Discogs or here in my playlist.
