Lorenzo Morresi is a producer, guitarist and DJ working between London and Italy. He has worked with both established and emerging artists in prestigious studios including Smokehouse, Strongrooms, Abbey Road. He has released on 22a Records, Fly By Night Music, Wall Of Sound, Rollover Milano, Roots Underground Records, and SuperEclectic.
His sound is an eclectic and experimental blend of world music, Italian jazz-funk, electronica and dance music performed both as DJ set or with a live band. Lorenzo is also one of the resident DJs of iconic party Rollover Milano at Apollo Club. Lorenzo’s musical work is based on a constant research for new sounds and combinations of genres – an organic union between technology and analog sounds with a collaborative approach with musicians from different backgrounds and countries, inspired by sounds from Planet Earth. This week he releases his ‘Isla EP’ on Rollover Milano. We ask him to talk us through 7 tracks that form key parts of his musical journey in sound.
