Hey music lovers! I’m excited to introduce you to Megatronic, a UK-born, Lisbon-based DJ, producer, songwriter, and activist who’s making waves with her soulful and visionary sound.

Megatronic just dropped her stunning new EP, “Do I Belong To You?” on the Brooklyn based Razor N Tape records label. This 7-track masterpiece is a bold statement of her musical style, blending classic elements with a futuristic edge. From the deeply emotive “The World” featuring Stavros’ soulful vocals to the pulsating and freewheeling groove of “Nuffin But LUV” (co-produced by Jitwam), and the jazzy vibes of “Organic,” this EP offers a captivating listening experience from beginning to end.

Join me as we dive deep into the 10 tracks that shaped Megatronic and explore the magic of her “Do I Belong To You?” EP!

Tina & Ike Turner – Nutbush City Limits

When I was around 9 years old, I was given this vinyl by an auntie as a Christmas present. I soon became obsessed with this track especially.

Sheryl Crow – All I wanna do

This was the first CD that I ever purchased, not exactly sure of my age at the time. I remember thinking Sheryl Crow was so cool with her perfect white teeth.

Neneh Cherry – Buffalo Stance

I can honestly say Neneh Cherry was the one of the coolest people I had ever seen on television. This was so powerful for me as a young girl, I really saw a lot of myself within Neneh.

Parklife – Blur

Blur was my first crush, Damon Albarn’s ability to tell a great lyrical story on an upbeat indie melody with actual genius and way before its time.

Beats International – Dub be good to me

&

Mantronix – got to have your love

Both of these tracks stand out for me cause my older sister would play on repeat. I still know all the words to “Dub be good to me” and “Got to have your love”. I think this music was so beyond its years. Hence why both tracks still work on the dancefloor.

Black Cherry – One Another

“One Another” is definitely my most favourite track that I wrote as Black Cherry. I always felt that this track is timeless and still up to this day, it pops.

The Cinematic Orchestra ft. Roots Manuva – All things to all men

Once I started touring a lot more as a solo artist I really started listening to music in different ways. I find this whole album a beautiful and peaceful capsule, which helps me navigate through busy and hectic situations like airports and over crowded spaces.

The World – Megatronic. ft Stavros

After spending 6 years living in Dubai and listening to my closest friend Stavros sing for me every time we met, I decided it was time to make a track together. At the end of 2023, I invited him round to my house to record his vocals in my little bedroom studio. It honestly was a very magical and beautiful moments for our friendship.

Organic – Megatronic

Super proud of this track, I think it’s one of the most honest songs I have ever written. Organic is letter of conclusion about your last relationship address solely to your EX

Conclusion.

Megatronic’s musical journey is a testament to her talent and versatility. With “Do I Belong To You?”, she’s created a truly special body of work that showcases her growth as an artist. Each track tells a story, from the heartfelt “The World” to the infectious “Nuffin But LUV.” Join me in celebrating Megatronic’s latest achievement. Stream her EP here.
