Music contents in this mixed playlist selection.

Thanks for taking time to check out my membership. Now let’s get into this weeks mixed playlist selection, a.k.a. Dirty Disco episode 364. Your weekly electronic music show. This time i’m presenting you a versatile selection exploring new beauty’s from within the electronic music scene. Some of the highlights are presented here below as small music reviews with their artwork.

Last week i played ‘Burnt’ the forthcoming release on Ad Hoc records by Alps 2 & Simona Drive, and listed it on the blog. This week we’re looking at 2 other tracks from that EP. Read the full music review here on the release and we will do a Q&A with Alps 2 & Simona Drive in the near future, so make sure to check the music blog for new publications frequently.

We are are also looking at the new ‘vinyl only’ exclusive 10” release on Butch – Joe Le Taxi. Which is a solid Acid House groove with female vocals that take you through the song. The DJ Seinfeld Remix on MJ Cole – Sonoran is a real gem if you love electronica and laid-back dream house.

Like always there is so much more that could be written about this mixed playlist selection and the artists behind it. Like i said this time i’m presenting you a versatile selection starting with a few decent high quality electronica releases starting at 111 BMP to finally end the mix selection with 132 BPM. After the electronica gems you’ll be able to hear a bit of Disco influences on the Future Disco label. Piano driven House music by Robyn and Floorplan. Andreya Triana bringing in her goosebump vocal on a Defected Records remixes release from ‘The Vision’.

Substantively it comes down to this:

  • 23 new tracks in a 2 hour mixed playlist selection, presented by me.
  • 1 free download from two emerging artists and creators of ‘Future House Music’ This track brings us back to 1976, 1994 and 2001. Read it here.
  • 16 tracks are also pressed on vinyl. With 1 as an vinyl exclusive.
  • At the time of recording the show and writing the blog, there are 6 music promos.
  • Among the mixed playlist selection are two albums.

Music reviews on featured EP’s.

To cover all credits and help you finding new music. I highlighted a few of the releases in this week’s mixed playlist selection Dirty Disco 364. You’ll find them below including artwork, record company information and a small review.

Jayda G – Both of Us & Are U Down.

The Canadian born but in London living Jayda G is not only a very nice appearance, she is an incredible music talent with a unique sound. Her beautiful crafted debut album ‘Significant Changes’ was released successfully last year in March 2019 on Ninja Tune. Now Jayda G is back with another quality goosebump release which you can find on her very own Bandcamp account here.

Her Both of Us / Are You Down EP is next to electronic music from the highest shelf also a climate neutral one. Available as a 40g black recycled lead-free calcium zinc based vinyl. For the sleeve she used FSC certified paper and vegan inkt for the print. There are only a few left so be fast to get you hands on this unique 12” release.

In the selection i’m playing you the two original versions of Both of Us and Are You Down.

Ouer – Final Days EP on Dirt Crew Recordings.

This one is set for release on the 17th of July on the German music label Dirt Crew Recordings. The German electronic music duo Ouer, deliver a quality versatile release ranging in the sound styles Indietronica, Breaks n beats and House.

With their 3 tracker ‘Final Days’ you will experience that true summer party feel, even when you are listening to these songs at home.

In contrast of what we are used to from the Dirt Crew team. The imprint is releasing a set of digital only releases starting of with this one from Ouer this summer.

For the track selection this week i chose Homecoming as it fitted best in the mix after the two tracks from Jayda G reviewed here above.

Jacques Renault Ft Adeline & Morgan Wiley – This Is Real | Future Disco.

More than seven years ago when i started Dirty Disco, Nu-Disco and indietronica, indie dance were not that popular yet. For inspiration for music in my mixes at that time i often used the Future Disco catalogue as they were pioneers in that Nu Disco sound back in the days.

So i can proudly present you this new track by New York’s finest Disco House wonder Jacques Renault who releases his first ever record on the London based imprint.

For this Feel good Disco groover he has been working together with vocal talents Adeline and Morgan Wiley. The Is This Real EP comes with a radio mix, a House mix and the Extended mix i’m playing in the show.

Dancing With Friends | Slothboogie 10th Anniversary V.A. Album.

To stay with some historical ‘cool to know’ facts. Also the Slothboogie label was a place where i went to for music inspiration back in the days when they were still a electronic music blog.

Now after 10 years of existence Slothboogie is much more than just a blog. It’s a full music platform and record label that you can also book as a tastemaker DJ for your party’s. Almost similar to what we do here at Dirty Disco except for the label and our Podcasts.

To celebrate their 10th anniversary they curated a selection of tracks with friends on their first v.a. album project. ‘Dancing With Friends’ is a wonderful experience in electronic dance music to explore the beautiful sounds of the underground in dance music.

The Vision Ft Andreya Triana – Mountains | Defected.

Long before the above mentioned Future Disco label and Slothboogie blog. I followed Defected Records from their very first days and release from Soul Searcher – I Can’t Get Enough in 1998, which became an instant hit classic. I still have it here on vinyl and play the track frequently for that perfect summer feeling.

Through the years i have seen Defected Records growing out to be one of the, if not the best house music label in the world. At least you can say Defected is one of the most influential labels in the scene for over 20 years.

I do feel that i as a curated and DJ have a lot in common with the label as they curate music in the same sort of style as i like to do, and our soundings often match up. In this mixed playlist selection i’m presenting you the remixes EP on The Vision’s ft Andreya Triana – Mountains by playing The Patchouli Brothers remix.

Black Loops – I Know You | Shall Not Fade.

Last but not least in the highlighted new music releases. The in Berlin (Germany) based Black Loops who is currently one of the most creative House music producers you can find.

For his new EP ‘I Know You’ on the Shall Not Fade label he worked together with producer Ruff Stuff to deliver two extra digital only tracks for the EP.

This brings the total of 6 new tracks on the digital formats. And a beautiful crafted with soul, funk, disco and 90’s house infected 12” vinyl release with 4 original tracks by Black Loops. Tune in and hear me playing the digital only track: Rock ‘N’ Roll and Black Loops – Badmanthing.

Free Download with sample analysis.

Last week i sended out this track to the inboxes from my newsletter subscribers. You can sign-up here. And did some ‘original sample’ analysis on the future house track from Spencer Brown & Qrion – What U Feel. If you want to know more about the artists, the original used sample, a few cool music facts and grab this track for free. Just click on the link and read the full in-depth music review.
