This time it’s not about the marketing tricks used by the DJmag awards or the recently held Club awards. This time it’s real data that shows us the most booked DJs and artists in 2022.
With the gradual (and hopefully definitive) end of the COVID pandemic, festivals and parties (of all genres) have resurfaced. Among all these events spread all over the planet, the statistics website Viberate, which is particularly interested in the electronic music market, had fun looking at who were the most booked headliners this summer. And we note some interesting elements on the 330 biggest festivals studied.
Among the most requested DJs / Producers, we find “naturally” well known names like DJ Snake, Martin Garrix, Timmy Trumpet, Steve Aoki, Alesso, Vini Vici, Amelie Lens or Alan Walker. Perhaps a little more surprising, we find artists like Joel Corry or John Summit.
We can be surprised at first sight to find them at the top because they are, in terms of notoriety, a little behind the first mentioned names. But it confirms that they are in full rise and that we will have to count on them in the years to come. On the other hand, no David Guetta or Charlotte de Witte can be seen in the list. We imagine however that they must not be very far behind!

On another subject, the analysis also reveals that the electronic music artists are the most booked of all genres. And that there is not really a parity between men and women among the headliners of festivals of all kinds (21% of women in total, a proportion that we probably find again for electronic music).
The study was based on 18.215 bookings separated over 315 the 330 analyzed festivals in 2022.
Viberate is a live music ecosystem and a booking marketplace, where more than 590,000 artists are ranked by their online popularity. The data is gathered from more than 50 different sources, including Spotify, Songkick, Bandsintown, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Thanks to the power of blockchain technology and smart contracts, Viberate is transparent by design.
