SBTRKT has released a new track, ‘Ghost (feat. Leilah)’. It’s the third single to arrive from the artist since his return after a six year hiatus in June. Check it out below and read on for our music review.
“Ghost” is about how noisy the world feels, fatigue it creates and as a result shutting down or wanting to dissociate whilst withholding your state-of-mind. SBTRKT says ‘we started this song when I met artist Saya Gray around three years ago’. They had been writing together over pandemic times before linking up again six months later with Leilah who has also become one of their close friends since then.”
SBTRKT – Ghost.
‘Ghost (feat. Leilah)’ is a pared-back track centered on Leilah’s guest vocal which is beautifully understated against SBTRKT’s typically dark production backdrop. If you’re a fan of music with soul, you’ll love this track – it’s one of our favorites from the artist so far.
