This is Session Victim‘s second album, and is released on Delusions Of Grandeur, Session Victim is a German producer duo that consist of Hauke Freer and Matthias Reiling, since 2008 they have been together as Session Victim.
Session Victim – See You When You Get There
Is a long play album where the groove is consistently present, the album starts with “Do It Now” and right away takes you on a groovy ride, with a lot of shakers and funky soundscapes. The next track “Hey Stranger” is also really a good example of their signature sound which combines, the old soul vibes, with Disco, and Jazz influences.
To continue with some more track’s that are on this LP “Make People Dance” is talking for itself, designed to make people dance, a solid groove with a laid-back vibe easy to pull people slowly from the bar on to the dance floor with a little basis groove the pads and the spoken vocal gives the track that dreamy feel, that makes it laid back and easy on going to groove your body to.
Coming to the LP title track “See You When You Get There” Is something really special. The track opens up with a very atmospheric dreamy landscape. This is a Chill track pur sang, easy listening but with a groove.
I can talk for hours about the latest album from Session Victim – See You When You Get there, but i would recommend to check it out for your self, and grab a copy if you like it. The LP contains tracks to really dance and groove to and tracks made for pure listening pleasure, and headphone entertainment.
For me personally this album is a real pleasure to just listen to, but i play the tracks very much in my sets when i play in clubs and they are even more in my Dirty Disco Radio podcasts, i will definitely keep following these fellas and check out all of their future releases and remixes.
