SIRS returns to his own Sirsounds Records with arguably his best work to date, dropping two sumptuous original compositions on the searingly personal ‘Moments Of Life EP’. SIRS has always had a knack for penning ethereal soundscapes that take the listener on an emotive journey and this latest release is no different.
Daniel Klein is a musical polymath who has been winning over audiences with his ambitious sound design and DJing across the globe for years. He’s worked on landmark albums including Public Possession, Live at Robert Johnson, Compost, Future Disco, Music For Dreams ,and countless more!
His latest release SIRS (Sounds In Real Stereo) arrives on the home grown label Sirsound Records that he founded in 2017 which aims to provide an eclectic mix between effervescent output as well chosen titles from various artists such Tiger & Woods, Ennio Morricone Lovebirds and Residentes Balearicos.
In ‘Moments Of Life,’ SIRS pays homage to his late lover, Anna. He reminisces on the time they spent in Istanbul during a period where most borders were closed and it became one of their only safe havens from Moscow where he lived at home while working on this project that would become known around the world through its beautiful opening track “Stambul (The Flowers Of The Garden)”.
Innocently navigating through abandoned streets comparing memories treasured moments captured within what feels like another life double spaced with sorrow.
The singer and songwriter Aino, from Stockholm Sweden offers her voice on “Stambul”. Her own Gingko track was loved by Daniel & Anna’s. The beautifully crafted instrumentation features snappy drums that keep the pace while synths woven into Latin guitar solos soar overhead like eagles during golden hour. This mix provides three variations including an instrumental version allowing you to hear all of these intricate musical details or check out Klein’s heartfelt message in its rawest form in ‘Marimar’.

In a world where we’re all trying to find our way, SIRS provides the listener with an enchanting yet deeply personal journey through his heart and soul on “Marimar.” Those waves of beautiful music he creates can be seen as not just fitting but also restoring balance after such introspection. SIRS – Moments Of Life is out on the 29th of July on Sirsounds Records.
