On March 30, 1992, when I was just a 12 year old youngster “Rhythm Is A Dancer” by Snap! was released and stormed to #1 in the charts in many countries around the globe. Another hit single from the legendary project of Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti, who were also responsible for “The Power” (1990), “Ooops Up” (1990) and “Welcome To Tomorrow (Are You Ready?)” (1994) were responsible for the track. All of these bring me back to a great childhood with no worries and full of great dance music from the 90’s.
Snap – Rhythm Is A Dancer was part of the album “The Madman’s Return”, which was released on March 24, 1990 and quickly reached platinum status. The single hit number 1 on May 31, 1992.
For the anniversary, there is now the sunny yellow and strictly limited 10 inch “Rhythm Is A Dancer” 30Th Anniversary 10″, which will be released on June 3, 2022 and contains the 7Inch edits of “Rhythm Is A Dancer”, “Exterminate”, “The Power” and “Ooops Up”. All great dance classics that helped shape the current electronic music scene.
