If you ask me to write you a top 10 of my favorite samples all time or if you ask me to write a top 20 best female dance vocals of all time, Next to Jocelyn Brown Martha Wash would be definitely in it, with her appearances in some of the hottest dance classics like on Todd Terry’s – Keep On Jumping where she collaborates and sings together with Jocelyn Brown, and do not forget the awesome collective Black Box from the 80’s where she did vocals for in Black Box – Everybody Everybody (Also one of my all time favorite dance classics)
You can see that Martha Wash is a common voice in the Dance industry one of the latest modern house music releases of today where she is sampled on, is this one from the UK based producer duo Soul Divide – Catch The Light.
The Soul Divide – Catch The Light E.P. will very soon be released on Amplified Records. The E.P. contains 4 tracks, the original Soul Divide – Catch The Light 2 remixes on it from our very own Dutch pride Man Without A Clue and an remix from Darren Crook, next to these 3 tracks there is also a 4th track: Soul Divide – Living The Lie.
Soul Divide – Catch The Light.
Is a very Soulful vocal Rhodes driven house track, the very grooving percussion are making it impossible to stand still.
Soul Divide – Catch The Light (Man Without A Clue Remix).
Is probably going to be the most popular track from the E.P.
A club groover pur sang from the highest shelf. The vocals together with the bass-line are leading and perfect for clubs and big Professional Audio Systems.
Soul Divide – Catch The Light (Darren Crook Remix).
A whole other remix than the one from Man Without A Clue and the original, never the less it’s just as good as those other two tracks, this one lays down the focus more on the beat and the deep stabs, together with the high rising pad it gives me a little bit more atmospheric dreamy vibe. I can see myself dancing away somewhere on a sunny beach holding a cold beverage.
Soul Divide – Living The Lie.
Is a new original track made for club bang groove purposes, This Tech House track is definitely laying down a perfect groove that makes your body want to move.
The whole E.P. will be released soon on the brand new Amplified Records Label from the UK.
