Earlier this year we had the honor of getting to know Supershy. Although the man behind that alias was no stranger to us, we already knew Tom Misch for his wonderfully groovy songs that we often play at the Dirty Disco HQ. Just like our other favorite singer / songwriter (Jordan Rakei as Dan Kye). Tom also has a love for electronic music which he wanted to make known to the world under the alter ego Supershy.
This resulted a few months ago in “Happy Music” and “Something On My Mind”, in which he mixed his well-known funky bass lines with a fresh disco beat and thus fired two extremely catchy dance tracks at us. His latest release, “Pushin’ On”, is another example of his fantastic production skills, with a soulful house groove guaranteed to get you moving. We can’t wait to see what else Supershy has in store for us!
Today, Supershy is back with two more tracks to add to their collection. The first track, “Change,” features vocals from Wayne Snow. The second track, “Take My Time,” features the vocals of Vula. Both songs are a fresh take on house music, with dry drums and popping bass. Snow’s soulful voice adds depth to “Change,” while Vula’s punchy vocal performance enlivens “Take My Time.” With these two new tracks, Supershy has solidified their place as a leading disco act.
“Take My Time” has a house beat that makes you want to get up and dance. Vula’s voice is looped throughout the song, and it builds to a climax with funky bass lines. This song is perfect for a hot summer day, and it should be on your poolside playlist. “Change” is another song that is perfect for summer. It has a unique sound that will get you moving. These songs will definitely get you in the mood for a party.
