Hi all at Dirty Disco Radio, its Will McGiven here with my first post for Kono Vidovic’s amazing organization. Id like to thank Kono, Ian and Arif for welcoming me to the DDR family.
First off i give you a beautiful bundle of aural textures from Dasta. Who’s Dasta? I hear you say! Well, to be honest, i don’t know to much about him/her myself!He/She is from Portland (USA) and His/her Facebook biog reads: I am 16 and sometimes make music!
My attention was brought to Dasta by my great friend, Luton (UK) based trumpet player, Vicky Flint. As you can see, Vicky is the voice behind this haunting jazz infused vibe, but what blew me away when she passed me this was her voice. I didn’t even know that Vicky sang!! What a treat the DDR family are about to hear. Vicky’s haunting, drifting vocals just slide off the swirling chords from the Fender Rhodes and beats delivered and engineered by DASTA.

Thanks for pointing me in this direction Will. I will certainly take interest in Dasta after this and I’m very keen to listen to some more of Vicky Flint but maybe as a trumpeter. I will certainly be popping into the DDR domain so see you on the airwaves…..
