Your weekly music essentials – Dirty Disco 286

Even in this final part of the year, I’m back at you with a new selection of your weekly music essentials. Like always i will be going into the mix in a 2 hour DJ mix session with a new selection of tracks, that i have curated for this weeks music podcast. All tracks came out recently and most of them are available on 12”. Let’s see what this new episode will bring us.

As from the previous music episode, last week. We now have ‘PLAY’ our track of the week. Just a random track selected from the many great others in this weeks music essentials selection. Next to PLAY, which will be highlighted here below, there are some other featured music picks. Let’s see what my journey through electronic music, delivered this week for us.

Art Of Tones – Unbalanced.

On one of our favorite and often played record labels, Local Talk Records recently is released the new music album from Art Of Tones. Maybe better known as Ludovic Llorca. Art Of Tones dropped his new album ‘Unbalanced’ The album includes 11 tracks with a few of them being released in the last year already on several EP’s. On the album you can hear a variety of musical tastes that Ludovic knows how to handle. It’s filled with beautiful deep-house & nu disco tracks like you are used to from Art Of Tones. In this weeks music essentials selection i have included 6 of the 11 tracks. Which is your favorite?

The digital release is already available as on the music streaming services. The vinyl will be released in the end of December 2018.

Madcat – The Doors Of Perception EP

This EP by Madcat is so amazing hot! When i selected this weeks PLAY, i had a hard time deciding between one of the tracks from this EP. And the final PLAY track which is listed here below. The whole ‘The Doors Of Perception EP’ is really beautiful and therefor i included al 4 tracks on this EP in this weeks music mix. My favorite tracks from this release are Le Jeu Du Roi D’Ur and Call Me Ishmael. This is what i like to call Deep Disco with jazzy and soulful influences. The EP is available on all formats including vinyl through the german online vinyl store Deejay.

Cosmonection – Menorca EP

On this EP by Cosmonection i found this weeks PLAY. But before we look into PLAY. Let’s look at the EP it’s self. Cosmonection – Menroca EP is released on the famous Delusions Of Grandeur imprint, and includes 4 tracks. The main title track Menorca is a real with sun-filled beach chill groover. But you could also listen to it as a dreamy landscape for those warm winter-nights. Let’s call it deep-house with a lot of atmosphere and a synthesizer taking you away into a journey of sound.

The second track that i really liked is the track ‘You’ I finally did not ended up playing the original since i liked the version by Session Victim more. Therefor it become the listed here below teack of the week. Next to You and it’s remix, there is also the track ‘Light’. Which brings a less more deepness and more synths, pads, an arpeggiator and atmospheres to dream away with. All with all the overall sound of this new EP by Cosmonection is very dope, deep satisfying.

PLAY – Track of the week.

This weeks PLAY (track of the week) comes from the above mentioned EP and is Cosmonection – You (Session Victim Remix). The German duo Session Victim took there hands on the original track and turned into something really dope. The best way to listen to this track, and to understand my feelings is to listen with a headphone and your volume on an high level. Only then you will experience what i experienced. The beautiful textures and deep vibes that Session Victim managed to create in this production. From the beginning till the end, this track will take you along and gives you goosebumps on a certain moment in the track. Maybe not a floor filler, but definitively a great production and very usable for those hot summer night DJ sets.
