Ever since we first heard this remix in John Summit’s set at Tomorrowland, the only question on our minds was when it would be made available. And above all, who was behind it? The elements of the answer have just reached us. Westend & Local Singles are behind this edit of Flume’s timeless remix on Disclosure’s ‘You & Me’. And there is even more good news to pass to this as it’s available as a free download.
The edit succeeds in keeping the extraordinary atmosphere of the original track as well as Flume’s remix, and injecting a little groove to it. The break keeps the initial melody, but the drop adds a rhythmic tech house insanity. This remix is a tremendous piece of work, which would have deserved an official release!
Flume’s version is a remix on Disclosure’s original track “You & Me”, and it is one of the most popular remixes of the song. This new edit by Westend & Local Singles gives the track a new lease of life, with a more upbeat tempo and a groovier feel. The original atmosphere of the track is retained, but the addition of a tech house drop makes it more dancefloor-friendly. The remix is available as a free download, so make sure you check it out!
Disclosure and Flume are well known names in the music scene and Westend & Local Singles are a tech house DJ and duo from the UK. They have been making waves in the scene with their high-energy live sets and their releases on labels such as Dirtybird, Crosstown Rebels, and Skint. Their remix of Flume “You & Me” is one of their most recent tracks to date, and it is already receiving widespread support from the likes of John Summit, CamelPhat, and Claude VonStroke.
